Premier League

The Premier League is the top tier of professional football (soccer) in England. Established in 1992, it succeeded the Football League First Division as the highest level of competition in English football. The league consists of 20 clubs and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the English Football League (EFL) Championship. Each season, teams compete against each other in a round-robin format, with matches typically held from August to May. Clubs earn points based on match results—three points for a win, one point for a draw, and none for a loss. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion. The Premier League is known for its global popularity, high level of competition, and significant financial rewards, attracting top players and managers from around the world.
