Football

Football refers to a team sport played between two teams, typically consisting of eleven players each, where the objective is to score goals by moving a ball into the opposing team’s goal. The most widely known version of football, known as soccer in some countries, is played on a rectangular field, with a goal at each end. The game is played primarily with the feet, but players can use any part of their body except their hands and arms to control the ball, with the exception of the goalkeeper, who is allowed to use their hands within a designated area.

Football has a rich history and is one of the most popular sports globally, governed by various organizations, the most notable being FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association). The sport has numerous variations, including American football, rugby football, and association football, each with its own rules and characteristics. Football not only serves as a competition but also fosters teamwork, strategy, and athleticism, making it a significant part of many cultures and a major area of interest for millions of fans around the world.
